KIROLBET Baskonia captain, Tornike Shengelia talked to Eurohoops about the challenges his team presents and Europeans gaining trust inside the NBA, also touched on various personal items during his interview.
“I feel like this is my second home” he said on Baskonia and afterwards explained how he enjoys the challenge of facing stronger teams and his special connection with the club, “There is always room for improvement and I’m never satisfied.”
“As long as I play basketball I think being in the NBA will be something as a goal for me. But not only to be in the NBA, I want to play” he said on potentially returning to the NBA following his 45 games between the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls, “It’s all about the right time and the right place.”
“We are getting really better and we are more respected from the American players and the NBA and the associations” he replied to a question on Europeans improving their view towards the highest ranks of the North American league, “The NBA teams trust and are more aggressive to sign European players.”
