Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv fell against Anadolu Efes in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 16 but that loss hasn’t been the worst of their problems.
Their rotation has been cut short recently due to various injuries and coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos confirmed at the press conference after the game that the club will be searching for some additions.
“Yes, we will be on the market because I cannot continue only with Othello Hunter and as we are, we use some players a lot. They’re overused and very tired, and we need to have solutions because of so many games with so small rotations… We already started to pay,” the coach said.
He also commented on what he expects from Maccabi’s most recent signing in Aaron Jackson: “From Jackson, I expect his quality, his experience and he’s a player that for sure will help us.”
Scottie Wilkekin, Maccabi’s leader, only played 17 minutes after being injured during the game and contributed 12 points.
