Zenit St. Petersburg announced that forward/center Gustavo Ayon suffered an injury on the back muscle of his hip that will keep him out indefinitely. The Mexican big man was injured in the win of his team over Tsmoki Minsk for the VTB League.
Ayon has been averaging 12.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 22:11 minutes over 16 EuroLeague games with Zenit this season. His team is currently last in the standings at 4-13.
