As it was expected and reported, despite some unbased rumors about CSKA, Barcelona announced today the extension of Ante Tomic‘s contract until the summer of 2018 with an option for the 2018-19 season. That move also puts an end to the possibility of Tomic trying the NBA for the Utah Jazz.
Meanwhile as “El Mundo Deportivo” reports American forward DeShaun Thomas is the next in line for an extension, after the great season he is having so far. That’s why the addition on the center position is expected to be Shane Lawal, which has a pre-agreement with the club, according to same report. Nigerian Lawal according to the “Cotonou Agreement” is not taking a place of foreigner in the Spanish league and that’s the key to the agreement.
