Contrary to the modest buzz before the draft, European players proved to be once again a valid choice for NBA teams. Not only the duo of Porzingis and Hezonja were lottery picks in number 4 and number 5 and they are expected to continue their career in the States, but one more player, Nikola Milutinov from Partizan, was selected at number 26 by the San Antonio Spurs when no one was expected to hear one more European name in the first round.
In the second round eight players were picked. Those are Cedi Osman (31) from Turkey, Guillermo Hernangomez (35) and Dani Diez (54) from Spain, Arturas Gudaitis (47) from Lithuania, Marcus Eriksson (50) from Sweden, Nikola Radisevic (57) and Luka Mitrovic (60) from Serbia and also Dimitris Agravanis (59) from Greece. A player who was expected to hear his name but went undrafted was Frenchman Mam Jaiteh. All the second round picks and also Milutinov are expected to be stashed in Europe and maybe in the future they will have the chance to play in the NBA. Also it has to be noted that three players for Seville, Porzingis, Hernangomz and Radisevic were selected. Here’s the full list of the 2015 NBA draft.
