The captain of Real Madrid, Felipe Reyes, extended his contract with the club for two more seasons, after already having 11 seasons with the team under his belt.
Despite being 35 years old, Reyes remains one of the key players of the team and a true Real icon. As he said to Real Madrid TV, this new contract is expected to be the last of his glorious career: “After the new contract the thing that I want is what I was always speaking about. My dream is to retire as player of Real Madrid”.
Reyes has won four ACB league championship titles (2005, 2007, 2013, 2015), four Copa Del Rey, a Eurocup (2007) and the Euroleague (2015). As a member of the Spanish national team he has won the Eurobasket, the FIBA World Cup and also he is an Olympic silver medalist.
