Alex Renfroe announced that he signed to Bayern in his personal account on Facebook! The American guard with the break out season decided to make the step in another powerhouse of German basketball and he informed the fans himself by sending a message to the fans of his former team.
“I needed to say this before someone else did. So today it happened… I signed. For the next 2 years. I will be playing for Bayern Munich. I know my Alba fans will be pissed and I understand. But just know that you will always have a special place in my heart!!! I have been a lot of places…but this year goes down as my most enjoyable year. I really appreciate everyone for the support they gave me while I was in Berlin!!
The many gifts I got for my daughter and the love you showed me and my family!! The club, my teammates and the fans. You all made this year a year that I will never forget! I just wish we were able to bring that championship to Berlin! But thank you for everything and I will definitely miss you all!! But I have great memories of Berlin and the love I have for Alba Berlin will never change!”.
