Panathinaikos finally announced the hiring of Sasha Djordjevic for the next two seasons with the Serbian coach welcoming the new challenge of his career.
His assistants will be the trio of Milan Minic, Sani Becirevic and Goran Bjendov. According to Djordjevic: “It’s the biggest honor and privilege to work in Panathinaikos and I want to thank everyone who trusted me in order to get this chance. I am on the bench of a club which belongs to the elite and I feel honor and the excitement for the start of this new journey. I met with the management and they explained me their ideas and their plan to create a core of players from their new Academy which was presented today. Those ideas are a match with my ideas. Young players who will have the big chance to learn and we will be their teachers”.
Panathinaikos also presented the new basketball Academy of the club in which Fragiskos Alvertis is the director.
