Forward Cory Higgins signed 1-year contract with CSKA Moscow with option for the second year. The agreement will come into effect after the medical tests in Moscow.
Higgins moved to CSKA from Gaziantepspor. He was the 5th best scorer of Turkish League (16.0 points), also averaging 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocked shots in 31.3 minutes, 29 games.
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach, said about the new addition: “We were considering Cory last year when he played for Triumph and followed him this year in Gaziantepspor. He played big role in good system, showed that he improved as a player. Higgins is a good athlete, he can help our team on offense and defense, he can create shots for himself but also able to create situations for his teammates. Cory is very motivated to move to the next level and we are happy that he really wants to prove he belongs to the top”.
