After his break out season with Brose Baskets, Trevor Mbakwe is ready for his Euroleague debut after signing a three year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, as the Israeli club just announced.
The center was second in the Eurocup in rebounding last season with 8.4 rebounds per game and tied for second with 3 offensive rebounds per game. Mbakwe also averaged 8.7 points on 58.8% shooting and 1.1 blocks over 18 Eurocup games. In the German League, he ranked second with 1.5 blocks per game, fourth with 7.4 rebounds and scored 10.6 points on 67.5% shooting. Mbakwe played college basketball at the University of Minnesota and made his European debut in the 2013-14 season with Italian side Virtus Roma.
