Daniel Hackett left EA7 Milano but he will not leave Europe. According to Eurohoops sources, the Italian guard is very close to a deal with Olympiacos, where he will replace Kostas Sloukas.
The player is expected to sign a contract for 1+1 seasons which in total will pay him 1,7 million US dollars. Hackett tried to test the NBA waters, having scheduled a try out with the New York Knicks, however the Greek champions and Euroleague finalists are a challenge that he is ready to accept.
Despite the fact that his former team EA7 Milano had a mediocre season at best both in Euroleague and in the Italian league, Hackett was one of the few players who had a solid performance. Daniel Hackett is expected to sign soon and he seems to be a great addition to a guard line with Spanoulis, Mantzaris and Strawberry. Futhermore, he can fit very well next to Vspan and create a solid duo together with the captain of the reds.
