Paulius Jankunas is ready to lead Zalgiris until his 35st birthday, while Matt Howard returns to Euroleague after his first limited experience as a member of Olympiacos.
Zalgiris Kaunas reached a new agreement with team captain Jankunas, who re-signed his contract until the end of the 2018-19 season. Born in Kaunas and raised in Zalgiris, Jankunas (2.03 meters, 31 years old) has spent almost his whole career in the club, only playing elsewhere – for Khimki Moscow Region – in the 2009-10 season.
Strasbourg signed Howard to a new two-year contract. Howard (2.03 meters, 26 years old) averaged 10.7 points, led SIG with 6.9 rebounds and was second with 0.9 blocks over 15 Eurocup games last season.
