Sasha Pavlovic is now officially a player for Panathinaikos and from his initial statements he seems like he’s in a fierce mood.
“I can’t wait for the moment when I’ll be in Athens and be incorporated to Panathinaikos. When coach Djordjevic got in touch with me and informed me that he wanted me in Panathinaikos, we agreed right away. I didn’t have to think twice, it was an easy decision.”
The combination is ideal for the experienced guard: “I’m happy because I’ll be playing for a huge team, with a great history, big players and also because I’ll be playing for coach Djordjevic. He was a great player and he’s a great coach. It’s also important that Panathinaikos is one of the biggest teams in Europe when it comes to the fans. In Partizan where I played, there is a very loyal audience that creates a great atmosphere and the same happens with Panathinaikos. I’ll do everything not to let them down. Besides, I’m well aware that I’ve come to a huge team that gives me the opportunity to fight for the Euroleague.”
