Another very important signing was successfully completed for Olympiacos! The 23-year-old center Patric Young signed a new two-year contract with the Greek champions and a few minutes later the player himself announced it through his personal Twitter account, accompanied by the relevant picture on Instagram.
“Deal is done. Olympiacos here I come lets go make history”, Young wrote.
The ex-Galatasaray player and Florida college graduate had already reached an agreement with the Greek club since the beginning of July with a partnership deal until 2017 that will earn him almost 1,8 million dollars.
The announcement of the signing was delayed because of the situation in Greece, but the signing itself was at no point compromised, even though there were European teams (mostly from Turkey) that were trying to take advantage of the circumstances and convince him to change his mind.
Patric Young is Olympiacos’s 5th foreign player and the plan that is in place at this time is not to acquire any other foreign players and keep the team as is, leaving a spot open for whenever the need arises. The last moves will involve “investments” within the Greek market. The team have their attention focused on the case of Stratos Perperoglou and if the Greek forward becomes a free agent, then a proposition will be made.
