Alex Tyus left Maccabi and he is ready to sign a two-year contract with Anadolu Efes. The American center with Israeli passport had also an offer from Panathinaikos and despite advanced talks, he decided to continue his career in Turkey.

After the end of the season, Khimki made a big offer to Tyus, but he didn’t take it. After few days he was close to a deal with Panathinaikos but the Greens didn’t complete the transfer which was in the final stages of the negotiations.

That gave the chance to Anadolu Efes to lure him as Chema de Lucas wrote on twitter. According to Eurohoops’ sources, the Turkish team offered him a contract for the next two years and Tyus is close to have a deal.

Also, Lasme is close to agree with Galatasaray but this may change if Panathinaikos raises its offer to its ex-center, as soon as Tyus is signing to Efes.

UPDATE: A few hours after our report, Anadolu Efes announced the deal.
