Kerem Gonlum was announced by Karsiyaka for the next season and he is the first official summer move of the Turkish champs. A little bit later, he club also formally announced the addition of Justin Carter.
FIBA’s ban on Karsiyaka is still active but the Turkish team finalized and announced the signing of Gonlum and Carter, because they played during last season in Galatasaray and their letter of clearance is in the Turkish federation.
This season will be the 14th of Kerem Gonlum in the Euroleague. Since 2002 he played with Ulker, Efes and Galatasaray. The 38 year-old poer forward/center is sixth in Euroleague career games (232) and is fifth in all-time rebounds (1,161).
Justin Carter played last season also in Galatasaray (started the year in Usak) and moved to Karsiyaka with a one year deal. He had 8.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 14 Euroleague games.
