Brent Petway experienced 2 Euroleague seasons playing for Olympiacos. He earned the 2015 Greek Championship, he enjoyed the Final Four in Madrid and in total he spent some of his most productibe basketball years in Greece. It’s true that he is leaving the country as a much better player than he used to be before his signing to Rethymnon.
His impressive dunks, his habit to sing Greek Songs with pretty big and active audience, his strange posts in Social Media are things we will never forget about the American Forward. He talked to Eurohoops and basically he said goodbye to Greece and Greek fans. Brent Petway gave a lot of appreciation to all his epxeriences and as he released, he enjoyed trolling the Media.
“I Just want to say a big thanks to Greece! You guys have to know how much I enjoyed growing there as a player. I also enjoyed trolling the media! You are gonna be bored now that I’m gone. It’s so easy to get yall even with my video in Instagram yesterday. That was my last troll though.
I knew they would have a field day with it. But seriously, i have to say thanks to Kostis Zombanakis and the team and town of Rethymno. I also have to thank coach Bartzokas for my first chance and shot in high level with Olympiacos. Also to Milan Tomic and coach Sfairapoulos and furthermore to the whole staff. And of course to the fans. No matter if they show me hate or love, I love everybody for helping me grow thick skin”.
