Panathinaikos decided to sign one more guard to strenght its back court and according to Eurohoops’ sources, the club is near to finalize the deal with the 27 year-old American Matt Janning.
Sasha Djordjevic likes the player, he gathered a lot of information about him and decided that he will be the last non Greek addition in the roster. Panathinaikos offered him an one-year contract and the American guard is expected to take the offer.
During last season he played in 27 games with Efes Anadolu of Dusan Ivkovic and had 6.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists with 46.3% in 3ps and 65% in free throws. In the last two seasons, Janning played in Siena and Cibona Zagreb.
He’s a very good shooter beyond the arc, plays as a pure shooting guard, but can also set plays, make decisions and create for his teammates.
