He came to Olympiacos after the bumpy start of last season, however after a Greek league title and a Euroleague final, coach Giannis Sfairopoulos is here to stay! The Reds extended his contract until 2018.
Sfairopoulos already had a deal in place for next season, but the team wanted to demonstrate its trust on his project and that became evident after the announcement. The Greek coach will be sitting on the bench of the team until the summer of 2018 after signing a two year extension.
“Coach Bullet” – “Sfaira” means bullet in Greek – has been in the past an assistant coach in Olympiacos under Jonas Kazlauskas. He followed him in CSKA Moscow, but he had unfinished business with the Reds…
