Thanasis Antetokounmpo signed his much coveted fir NBA contract with New York Knicks for the next two years but the deal is partially guaranteed.
The 23-year-old Greek wanted so much to play in the NBA, like his younger brother, Giannis, so that during last summer he turned down a two-year, 550,000 dollars offer from European teams to play for the Knicks’ D-League team, which paid him 25,000 dollars.
His stats were pretty well in the NBDL (13.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game), he played well also in the Summer League and eventually Knicks offered him a 2-year non-guaranteed deal worth of 1,400,000 dollars in total.
