Panathinaikos started the new season in the presence of its new coach, Sasha Djordjevic, however the news came from an old face. Dimitris Diamantidis, which in theory is still a free agent was at OAKA.

There’s no official announcement yet about Diamantidis decision to play this year, of course with Panathinaikos, bt the captain of the team was there and talked to the media: “We have many news players, a new coach, we have to adapt to his style. We will need time, it will be something different, but that’s what we have to do”.

Nick Calathes also took a break from the Greek national team, like Djordjevic from Serbia, in order to be present in the first meeting for next season, while former NBAer Sasha Pavlovic added: “Panathinaikos is a great opportunity for me. It’s a huge club. I believe that we have a shot to make the Euroleague Final Four”.

As for Djordevic, he is ready for the challenge: “I am now part of one of the biggest clubs in the history of European basketball. I have accepted the challenge to be here. Panathinaikos always has the highest of goals. I play to win, I want all the titles we can get”.
