Joan Plaza is widely considered as one of the best Spanish coaches and Unicaja agrees! The club announced today that the contract of the coach is extended until the summer of 2018.
In the deal there’s also an opt out option in the summer of 2017. Plaza has already coached Unicaja in a total of 134 games and has won 75 of them, a respectable 55,97% winning percentage. However if you take out Euroleague and Copa Del Rey and take into account only the games in Liga Endesa, he has a 66.27% winning percentage.
