Nigeria won the Afrobasket title and secured also a place in the Rio Olympic Games after its win in the final vs Angola (74-65). This was the first time that Nigeria celebrated the gold medal.
The leading scorer of the winners was Oguchi (19 points, 7 rebounds), but Shane Lawal made the difference with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Angola alongside with Tunisia and Senegal will compete for a place in the Olympics via the preolympic tournament.
