Nikola Pekovic is ready to be elected as the new president of the basketball section of Partizan. The club confirmed that Minessota’s center is the only candidate for the position, so his election will be just a formality.
Pekovic is not expected to be involved in day to day management, however his presence is crucial for the club, which has a total of 5 milion euros of debth. A fresh start is needed after the resignation of Predrang Danilovic and Pekovic can be the man who will be the face of the new effort.
The former Partizan player has already met with the brass of the team and accepted the offer, so a new chapter will open for the historical team.
