After a very good Eurobasket with Slovenia, Jaka Blazic left from Crvena Zvezda and signed with Laboral a 3-year contract.
Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz reached an agreement with swingman Jaka Blazic to work together for the next three seasons, the club announced Tuesday. Blazic (1.96 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade, where he averaged 9.1 points in 24 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season.
He helped Zvezda win three titles – Adriatic League, Serbian Radivoj Korac Cup and Serbian League – last season and also lifted the Serbian Cup trophy in 2014. Blazic started his career with Triglav Kranj and kept playing his native Slovenia, for Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana and Union Olimpija Ljubljana, until he joined Zvezda before the start of the 2013-14 season. He helped Olimpija win consecutive Slovenian Cup titles in 2012 and 2013. Blazic is also a regular member of the Slovenian national team. He shined at EuroBasket 2015 this month, averaging 12.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 6 games.
