Despite having many absences, CSKA Moscow beat Anadolu Efes 76-72 in the first match of Banvit’s tournament.
Although the international players were not available, the Americans Aaron Jackson (13 points, seven assists), Cory Higins (11 points) and the Russians Pavel Korobkov (12 points) and Dmitry Kulagin (12 points, five rebounds) managed to lead Dimitris Itoudis’ squad to the victory against Dusan Ivkovic’s team.
On the other hand, Efes had absences as well, but Jayson Granger (17 points, on 5/10 from the three-point range), Thomas Heurtel (12 points, seven assists) and Jon Diebler (13 points) all made a great performance.
