After two successful seasons with Real Madrid, Yiannis Bourousis decided to stay in Spain, but he will now play for Laboral Kutxa. The Greek center was officially presented by the Basque club and talked to the reporters about this new chapter in his career.
“I have great motivation to play well, if that wasn’t true I will now be sitting at home. I want to be victorious with Laboral, I really do. I believe that if we play hard and do our best, then the fans will be excited,” he said and added: This team always fights with passion on the court. I am at the disposal of my coach and I will do everything he wants me to (do). He can use me either in the low-post or in a pick’n’rol situation. I am very happy I have been given this opportunity by the club. It’s an honour for every athlete to compete in the ACB and the Euroleague.”
Regarding the other offers he had in his hands, Bourousis said: “I had other offers as well, but I decided to play for Laboral. From now on, I will “fight” for the team and its fans.”
