Jamelle Haggins was the man on Wednesday’s Greek Cup games as he led Aris to the 64-61 win over AEK and also literally broke a basket. Also PAOK prevailed over Rethymno Cretan Kings (73-67).
Still it was Haggins’ day. He got a double double (17 p., 10 r.) and broke down the basket at the home court of his team after the start of the third period. The game stopped for one hour in order for the damage to be fixed and after the final buzzer AEK protested the result, because according to the rules the one hour break was more than permitted. Some minutes later however AEK decided to withdraw the protest, so PAOK and Aris qualified to the semis and we will always remember this…
