It seems that Chris Warren’s presence in AEK Athens will soon be over. The American guard is expected to leave the club.
After the opening game against PAOK, AEK’s head coach Dragan Sakota admitted, during the press conference, that, due to injuries, Chris Warren had a different role on the team than the one he was expected to (have). “We didn’t bring him in to dish out assists. We wanted a point-guard who would be able to score,” the Serbian coach said.
Although AEK were victorious in the game, they didn’t make a decent performance and, as a result, they are concerned about the following games. Consequently, they decided to change their initial decision and Warren will soon let go, as the team has already started looking for his replacement. But Warren will not leave until the injured players will come back to the action.
