Kostas Sloukas made an impressive performance and helped Fenerbahce to win Darussafaka (70-65) on the road.
The Greek guard was the top scorer for Zeljco Obradovic‘s team with 18 points, on 6/6 shooting (4/4 in two-point shots, 2/2 from the range), while he was also four for four from the free-throw line. Sloukas scored Fenerbahce‘s last seven points and with a crucial three-point shot, 25 seconds before the end, he gave his team a five-point lead (63-68). He also had four rebounds and two assists. For the winners, Jan Vesely (13 points) and Luigi Datome (11 points) were also in double digits, while this was the first defeat for the hosts.
“Darussafaka is a great team. It’s a Euroleague team and we had prepared for that. In the second half, we played better defensively and won the game,” Sloukas said.
