Immediately after the end of the game, when both teams were leaving the court, a verbal confrontation between Olympiacos‘ assistant coach Milan Tomic and Panathinaikos‘ head coach Sasa Djordjevic took place.
The assistant of coach Sfairopoulos made complaints to the referees about some decisions during the game and Djordjevic told him to stop. The quarrel between the two Serbians didn’t last long and both left the court.
Yiannis Sfairopoulos was furious after the game, insisted that Sasa Djordjevic and Nik Calathes made a vulgar verbal assault to Milan Tomic and refused to sit next to Panathinaikos‘ head coach during the press conference: “Ι refuse to sit next to people who curse my assistants’ fathers and mothers”.
Djordjevic responded to Sfairopoulos and Tomic, saying that “what happens on the court, stays on the court. Nothing started from us, I reacted on what was said. I don’t get paid to advertise them.”
