In a classic tale of David and Goliath, Strasbourg got the big 91-70 win over Final Four contender Fenerbahce. Kyle Weems with 22 points was the leader of the hosts who got their biggest win ever in Euroleague.
Fenerbahce had a 24-21 lead after the first quarter, but after that it was all about Strasbourg which had a 49-41 half time lead and never looked back. Strasbourg was better in every aspect of the game, had an 11 rebounds advantage and took by surprised the team of coach Zeljko Obradovic.
Rodrique Beaubois had 14 points, Mardy Collins added 12, Romeo Travis 11 and Vladimir Golubovic 10 points and 7 rebounds. Bogdan Bogdanovic with just 12 points was the top scorer of Fenerbahce, he cut the lead of Strasbourg to four points in the third quarter (60-56), but couldn’t get any closer.
