With 1.46′ left on the clock, Zielona Gora was leading 72-70 on the road against FC Barcelona Lassa. The Catalans played with fire, but in the end got the 78-72 win against the feisty Polish champs.
Zielona Gora couldn’t finish the game the right way, after staying close to the hosts until the end despite the big game of Samardo Samuels who had 23 points on 8/9 shots for the winners. Shane Lawal had 7 points and 12 rebounds, while Tomas Satoransky and Juan Carlos Navarro scored 10 points each.
Mateusz Ponitka led the charge with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Zielona Gora and Vlad Moldoveanu and Dejan Borovnjak scored 14 points each. Ponitka and veteran guard Lukasz Koszarek tried to make the big plays in the last two minutes for Zielona Gora, but failed.
