The Philadelphia 76ers released on Monday Turkish big man Furkan Aldemir and point guard Scottie Wilbekin, along with Pierre Jackson, J.P. Tokoto and Jordan McRae.
Aldemir’s 2015-16 contract is guaranteed for nearly $3 million after signing a four-year deal worth $12 million last December. He started in nine of 41 games he appeared in last season, averaging 2.3 points and 4.3 rebounds on 51.3 percent shooting.
Wilbekin, 22, signed a four-year, partially-guaranteed contract with the franchise this summer after finishing last season in AEK Athens.
