A combination of good defense and crisp offense gave to Unicaja Malaga the win over Dogus Darussafaka Istanbul (81-69). The Spaniards are still perfect with a 3-0 record in the season.

The team of coach Joan Plaza after the good start of the guests who were leading by four (20-16) after the first quarter, got everything under their control. They had a 44-37 half time advantage, a double digits lead in the third period (64-53) and never looked back.

Unicaja finished the game with 24 assists and just 6 turnovers, a great performance compared to the 13 assists and 16 turnovers of Darussafaka. Edwin Jackson was the top scorer of the winners with 18 points on 5/8 shots, Stefan Markovic dished 9 assists, four more players scored in double digits and everything clicked on both ends of the floor.

Semih Erden finished the game with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the losing side which after the first quarter couldn’t keep up with the Spaniards.
