One week after the big win over CSKA Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod prevailed also over Khimki Moscow Region (93-92) in a VTB League game which finished in the most peculiar way!
Khimki was leading by six (85-79) with three minutes to go, but Nizhny answered with a 6-0 run (85-85). Alexey Shved and Tyrese Rice gave again a five points lead (90-85) to their team one minute before the end, Nizhny came back and Shved made 2/2 free throws (92-89) with 18 seconds left. Maxim Grigoriev had 1/2 free throws and just after Nizhny stole the ball and Kaspars Berzins made the winning shot! After this result Nizhny is second with a 5-1 record, while Khimki dropped at 4-2 in the 6th place of the standings.
