As Dejan Radonjic said after Crvena Zvezda’s victory over Partizan, Marcus Williams will play again this season for the reigning champs, while he agreed to sign a new contract after the end of his ban.
Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade has reunited with point guard Marcus Williams, who starred for the club last season. Williams (1.91 meters, 30 years old) signed a deal for the reminder of the season. He is expected in Belgrade next week, but will not be eligible to compete until December, while his ban ends in 30th November.
Williams averaged 9.7 points and 6.1 assists in 24 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He also set a Euroleague record with 17 assists in a November contest against Galatasaray. Williams finished the season with three trophies, the Adriatic League, Serbian League and Radivoj Korac Cup.
Before he first joined Zvezda, Williams had played for Unicaja Malaga and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in the Euroleague and for New Jersey, Golden State and Memphis in the NBA.
