After the second defeat of the team in five domestic league games and a bad start in Euroleague, Guy Goodes was fired today by Maccabi Tel Aviv. The former assistant of coach David Blatt is sacrificed in order for the team to make a new start.
As the team announced: “After much consideration, it was decided that a change is needed. Guy Goodes has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Maccabi FOX TA. Assistant coaches Avi Even and Rafi Bogatin will coach the team until a replacement head coach is found”.
Those two will be the coaching duo against Darussafaka Dogus in the upcoming Euroleague game, still the team is searching all around Europe for its next head coach and the list of candidates includes among other Erez Edelstein, Jonas Kazlauskas, Dirk Bauermann and more…
