San Antonio Spurs GM R.C.Buford visited Athens last week and had the chance to see Spurs draftee Nikola Milutinov up close. However, as he said to the Greek channel OTE TV, he was also eager to meet Giorgos Printezis.
Printezis’ NBA rights belong to the Spurs and Buford met him for the first time. What’s more interesting is that Buford kept the NBA door open for him. As he said: “It was good to meet with Giorgos. We traded for his rights last summer and this was the first time I got to spend some time with him. I have never met him before”. Printezis has a contract with Olympiacos until the summer of 2017, but Buford doesn’t exclude anything: “I think that a part of this decision belongs to him. For sure we will be following him and if our needs fit his needs, then we will see what happens”.
