Hedo Turkoglu, a free agent since the summer, announced today officially his retirment from the basketball courts and he became one of the executives of the Turkish basketball federation.
Turkoglu has won two silver medals as a member of the Turkish national team (Eurobasket 2001, Mundobasket 2010) and played for 15 years in the NBA as a member of the Kings, the Spurs, the Magic, the Raptors, the Suns and the Clippers. He has received the most improved player award in 2008.
The 36 years old former player is a basketball icon in his country and widely considered as the best Turkish player of all times.
