Cedevita was unstoppable in the second half (45-30) and beat Laboral Kutxa 76-67 to earn their third straight victory in group B (3-2). On the other hand, the Spaniards suffered their second defeat in the group (3-2).
For the winners, Jacob Pullen was tremendous with 26 points (21 of them in the second half), with Miro Bilan adding a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds). For the losing squad, Jaka Blazic scored 20 points and Giannis Bourousis 14.
In the beginning, the match was a close derby, as no team could take a significant advantage. Laboral Kutxa ended the first quarter in front by two (16-18) and retained a small lead until the end of the first half, as the Spaniards had a six-point advantage (31-37).
Things changed, though, in the second half. Cedevita played very well on both ends of the floor and managed to take a small lead and retained it until the end of the third quarter (54-50), as they outscored their opponents 23-13. In the last 10 minutes of the game, Cedevita continued to have control of the game and with a 9-2 run, they took a double-digit advantage (63-52), with five and a half minutes to go. The situation remained the same until the end, as Velimir Perasovic’s players were unable to make a big comeback and, as a result, the Croatians had no problem to claim their third straight victory in group B.
