CSKA Moscow was impressive once more and without feeling any kind of pressure got the 81-70 win over Unics Kazan on Monday’s VTB United League big game.
Teamwork and defense was the key for the winners, with just two players scoring in double digits, Aaron Jackson with 15 points and Nando De Colo with 11. The final score hides part of the truth, because CSKA was leading by 25 points at haltime (54-29) with Milos Teodosic having 8 points and six assists during this time.
The hosts got a 28 points lead at the start of the last quarter and then they relaxed and let Unics get closer. Zenit is still on top of the standings in VTB with a 6-0 record, but CSKA Moscow is just one step behind with 6-1.
