Stefano Sardara, president of Dinamo Banco Di Sardegna Sassari, announced today that coach Meo Sacchetti after seven seasons with the club is fired.
As Sardara said: “A circle of seven proud and exceptional years has closed. We hope that the new coach will bring the enthousiasm in the team which is now missing”. Sassari is the only team without a win in Euroleague so far (0-6).
However under Sacchetti’s guidness the club was promoted in Legabasket, made its European debut and won the championship title in 2015, the Supercup of 2015 and two Italian cups in 2014 and 2015. Sacchetti was named the Italian coach of the year in 2012.
