After the 8th round of the Greek League, Panathinaikos remains the only unbeaten team in the ESAKE league. In the contest during which Dimitris Diamantidis reached the milestone of 500 Greek league games, the Greens beat Lavrio and Nikos Pappas returned to action. However it was Miroslav Raduljica with 23 points who led the Greens to the win.
Panathinaikos has an 7-0 record (having played one game less), while AEK, after losing to Aris at home, is tied with Olympiacos at 7-1. Aris follow at 6-2
