CSKA Moscow returned to action for the VTB league and destroyed Enisey as the final 94-64 score suggests. Milos Teodosic had 14 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 turnovers and was once again the star of the show.
Five more players scored in double digits for the winning side and Joel Freeland with 14 points and 6 rebounds proved that he is back for good. The game however was important for one more reason. The players demonstrated their support to the president of the club, Andrey Vatutin who was attacked last week by two uknown persons. As you can see in the photo of Aaron Jackson, they wore t-shirts with the message “Vatutin, all for one”.
In the other game of the day for the VTB, which has a break until the 2nd of January, Lokomotiv Kuban destroyed Tsmoki Minsk (80-50). Still Lokomotiv is 7th in the standings with a 7-5 record, while CSKA Moscow is first with 13-1.
