Stephen Curry made another accomplishment by earning the Associated Press 2015 Male Athlete of the Year Award. The 27-year-old guard had an amazing year, as he won the MVP award, led the Golden State Warriors to its first title in 40 years, while also helped his team get off to a record-setting start this season.
In addition, he is considered one of the best three-point shooters of all times in the NBA and joined Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird as the only basketball players to win the honour in the 85 years of the award. The Warriors‘ leader beat out golfer Jordan Spieth, who won two majors, and mentioned that “it’s a real honor. I’m appreciative of that acknowledgement because it’s across all different sports.”
