For years they are opponents on the court, but this just made the mutual respect for each other even bigger. Juan Carlos Navarro and Vasilis Spanoulis, the captains of Barcelona and Olympiacos, exchanged jerseys after the game.
The two basketball icons met at the locker rooms of the home court of Olympiacos, which is named Stadium of Peace and Friendship, they had the opportunity to chat about what happened earlier and also for the season in general. It was a moment and a photograph which is already part of the European basketball lore.
They are the two top all time Euroleague scorers combined for a total of 6.573 points as Navarro has 3.746 and Spanoulis 2.827.
