Milos Teodosic has been a member of CSKA Moscow for five straight years and is once again determined to lead the “Bear” to the top of Euroleague. Will he manage, though, to achieve this? In the meantime, he wants to go all the way to the end with the Serbian National Team in the 2016 Olympic Games.
The Serbian guard has failed to win the title in six attempts and wants to avoid being 0 for 7 in the competition’s Final-4. CSKA Moscow hasn’t claimed the coveted title since 2008 and what remains to be seen is whether Teodosic will be capable of leading the Russian giant to the top again.
The 28-year-old player talked to the website sport.blic.rs about the Euroleague and the national team of Serbia…
About his time in Russia, Teodosic said: “If I didn’t have a great time here, I would have left much sooner! But, I am just kitting! I have adapted to life in Moscow and the needs of a great organisation, like CSKA Moscow. I have all I need and am just five minutes away from the stadium. I rarely go to the city centre, however Moscow is my home, just like Belgrade and Athens.”
Regarding CSKA Moscow’s chances to claim the title: “I hope the time has come for the team to return to the top. I want it so much. We are part of a very difficult group in the top-16, so it would be stupid to make any predictions. It’s important to qualify to the Final-4. I think we have the experience to deal with every situation and win the title.”
About Serbia’s participation in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and the battle for qualification to the Olympic Games, Milos mentioned: “The Olympic Qualifying Tournament will certainly be very important and difficult. We have great motivation to take part in the Olympic Games. I believe we can achieve this.”
