Joey Dorsey wouldn’t say no in departing from Galatasaray for a Euroleague team. But everything shows that he will stay there until the end of the season.
According to Eurohoops sources from Turkey, the American center will remain a part of the team until summer. The player had a big discussion with the Turkish club, after the… misunderstanding with Dorsey’s post in his instagram page, and his team made it clear to him that at least for now, they won’t let him go.
Dorsey has been offered to Olympiacos twice so far this season, and he has been also offered to Panathinaikos. The latter showed an interest in acquiring him, under certain circumstances, but Galatasaray wants to keep the player until the end of the season.
After all, the “Cimbom” want to win the Eurocup. That’s the big target of the season, since it will send the team straight to Euroleague. Joey Dorsey is an integral part of Galatasaray, especially on the defensive end, so you can easily understand why coach Ergin Ataman preferred to keep the American center despite his… intense character.
