The team from Moscow got the road win, while Unics Kazan escaped from Nymburk

Without any mood to give anything to its opponents, CSKA (18-1) cruised from Volgograd against Krasny Oktyabr (6-11) to remain first in the standings. The 5 players scoring in double digits and the 24 assists, probably pleased coach Dimitris Itoudis who would have been happier if his team didn’t tune its rhythm down in the last quarter.

Thanks to a classy move and very difficult, game winning jumper by Unics’ usual “go-to” guy, Quino Colom, the team from Kazan (15-2) is in hot pursuit after defeating Nymburk (10-8) on the road. The Czechs were something more than competitive but didn’t make the most out of the opportunities to win the match in the last seconds.

It was a result that also brought smiles to Nizhny Novgorod (9-8), since it approaches Nymburk in the standings. The Russians greatly increased their output in the second half in Finland versus the Bisons for an important road win. One which Zenit (11-3) also took in Riga (4-13), to remain fourth in the standings, yet not without… other losses, since Zabian Dowdell got injured.
